The Gladiator
Summer Camp.

Two weeks of expert coaching inside Grey Court's S&C suite. Every athlete assessed, placed on the Gladiator Pathway, and leaves stronger — with a logbook to prove it.

Mon 3 – Fri 14 August 9am – 1pm Daily Grey Court School, Ham Ages 8–15 · Y4–Y10
Two Programmes. One Camp.

Built for every young athlete.

The camp runs two separate streams — one for younger athletes in KS2, one for older athletes in KS3+. Each stream follows the Gladiator Pathway at the right pace and load for their age.

KS2 Stream
Years 4 – 6
Ages 8 – 11

At this age, athletes are coordination sponges — they absorb movement habits faster than at any other point in their development. Sessions are game-led, play-based, and bodyweight-first. They train without knowing they're training.

  • Bodyweight movement fundamentals — squat, hinge, push, pull, carry
  • Games that disguise the work (Tag = squat work, Cone Wars = locomotion)
  • Landing, jumping and coordination drills
  • Speed and agility on the field
  • Gladiator Pathway assessment — leave as a confirmed Recruit or Warrior
KS3+ Stream
Years 7 – 10
Ages 11 – 15

Ready to be challenged. This stream introduces loaded strength work, athletic conditioning and real performance benchmarks. Athletes leave with a measurable improvement and a clear next step on the Gladiator Pathway.

  • Strength fundamentals — squats, hinges, pushes, pulls, carries with load
  • Speed, agility & games — outside on the field
  • Athletic skills — landing, jumping, throwing, sprinting
  • Plyometrics and power development
  • Gladiator Pathway assessment — leave as Warrior, Champion or higher
The Gladiator Pathway

Five levels. Earned, not given.

Kids learn to swim in levels. They earn belts in martial arts. The Gladiator Pathway is FM Strength Club's curriculum built the same way — a clear, earned ladder that is the most powerful motivator a child has.

01
RECRUIT
Foundation of movement. Every athlete starts here.
02
WARRIOR
Owns bodyweight. First introduction to load.
03
CHAMPION
Confident with dumbbells & kettlebells. Athleticism arrives.
04
LEGEND
Compound lifts under fatigue. Mentor to lower levels.
05
TITAN
The complete young athlete. Coaches as well as trains.

Every athlete is assessed on arrival. Coaches sign off skills continuously throughout the camp — no assessment day needed. Each athlete leaves with their Gladiator level confirmed, a logbook to carry forward, and a clear next step. The camp counts toward their cumulative session total on the pathway.

How Progress Works

Four pillars. Every level.

Levelling up on the Gladiator Pathway requires demonstrated progress in all four pillars — not just strength, not just attendance.

Pillar 01
Movement Mastery
Can they perform the required movement patterns with clean form? Squat, hinge, push, pull, carry, lunge, jump, throw, sprint.
Pillar 02
Benchmark Progress
Can they hit the level's measurable markers? Broad jump, plank hold, push-up max, sprint times, weighted carries. Numbers don't lie.
Pillar 03
Consistency
Have they shown up enough to earn the level? Each level has a minimum session count — because consistency IS strength.
Pillar 04
Knowledge & Character
Do they understand WHY? Can they name muscles, explain cues, support a teammate? This pillar makes athletes — not just lifters.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know.

Comfortable trainers, sports kit, a water bottle, and lunch or a snack. That's it.
Most of our athletes haven't. The whole programme is built around teaching from scratch in a fun, age-appropriate way. Every athlete starts at Recruit on the Gladiator Pathway — no experience required.
It's FM Strength Club's five-level curriculum — Recruit, Warrior, Champion, Legend, Titan. Think swimming levels or martial arts belts. Every athlete is assessed on arrival, placed on the pathway, and leaves with their level confirmed in a logbook. The camp counts toward their cumulative session total, so progress made here carries forward into term-time sessions.
KS2 is for Years 4–6 (ages 8–11) and KS3+ is for Years 7–10 (ages 11–15). If your child is on the boundary or you're unsure, drop Freddie a WhatsApp on 07808 734481 and he'll advise.
Please drop Freddie a WhatsApp on 07808 734481 and we'll have a proper conversation about your child before booking. We want every athlete to have the right experience from day one.
Absolutely. Week 1 (Mon 3–7 Aug) and Week 2 (Mon 10–14 Aug) can each be booked independently. Both weeks together gives the best value and the most progress on the Gladiator Pathway.
